The day is the shortest of the whole route yet steep enough to tire someone. It starts with the moderate trek from the campsite and then suddenly turns precipitous. The trick for climbing such gradients is to be patient and walk slowly, there is no need to run or overcome others but just trek at your own pace. After some hours, the treeline will be left below with air getting thinner and vast scenery comes forth in a grand view surrounded by countless mountain ranges and peaks. Nagaru is located on a ridge which is top on the mountain prone to ferocious and freezing winds but the scenery offered is way out of words. It is a place mostly submerged in snow while opening up the route till the end of May. The snowy landscape in front reminds of an incredible campsite full of adventures to offer. The night will be stayed inside camps under the bright night sky. It is an ultimate sight where one could enjoy or fulfill his dreams of gasping at the twinkling and dwindling lights in the night sky. Sleep tight as the following day is long and full of surprises.
It is the most awaited trail of the whole trek holding up the best vistas, a Pass to negotiate and entering into the other side of the vale full of natural beauties. At first a steep hike needs to be negotiated which is followed by flat terrain which lasts for hours before nearing upto the pass. As we approach the pass the mountain steepens for a while and thus we are at the top, looking behind at the valleys and valleys laying in front to be cherished throughout. At top sometimes the pass tests the limits of one wanting to cross over it by thunderstorms, speedy winds, snowfalls and even blizzards but it is often calm and favorable with true respect for the mountainous nature. After crossing over the pass we descend below again into the treeline giving up the strange yet comfortable sense of halt in a stunning campsite. Bishkeri is the most loved campsite after days of trekking through snowy terrains, precipitous climbs to the adverse weather conditions held at the top. Night can be spent in ease alongside the fire talking about the treks experiences while having a delicious dinner.
Today we will descend down towards Barshaini to end our trip. After having a sumptuous breakfast we will leave the place trekking downwards through forests, meadows, streams and a river to cross. The trail is perfectly engraved leading into the wonderful locations of vast grasslands enroute. Throughout the approach one would find the forests so prehistoric that it will take a couple of people to circle the massive trees. This primitiveness lasts until we reach Pulga, dwelling crammed with particular travelers. From Pulga the road head looks near but it isn’t we see, it is kind of camouflage after the days of walking in the hinterland. Soon we will be at the roadhead from where we will reach Manikaran by a local transport. And here on one is free to go to their preferred destinations.
